AdventHealth Kansas City, a leading faith based not for profit health system, is searching for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to work at our AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Psychiatry clinic.
About our Opportunity:
- Patient population is serving women with perinatal mental health issues
- Part time schedule - 0.5 FTE
- Locations: AH Shawnee Mission, South Overland Park and Lenexa City Center
- Our group consists of 2 psychiatrists and three therapists
- EMR – Epic
- Work within a culture of maintaining a whole-person approach to wellness, focusing on mind, body and spirit
- Provides education to patient’s family regarding diagnoses, treatment, prevention, safety, etc.
- Collaborate with other physicians and staff in a family-oriented setting
- Telemedicine evaluation and therapy.
Employment Details:
- Base Salary (Exempt)

Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong medical decision-making skills.
The requirements for this position are:
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Degree
- At least 2 years of perinatal mental health experience
- ACLS and BLS obtained through the American Heart Association
- DEA License
