The Therapist provides comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic treatment to patients within the psychiatry clinic. This role works collaboratively with psychiatrists, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across outpatient services. AdventHealth Kansas City, a leading faith based not for profit health system, is searching for an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery APP to serve as a First Assist in cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgeries, perform endoscopic vein harvesting, round in hospital pre and post-surgery, and follow-up clinic visits at our AdventHealth Shawnee Mission location located in the Kansas City Metro area.

About our Cardiothoracic Surgery Opportunity:

  • Cardiothoracic surgeons, 5 interventionalists, 8 Non-Invasive cardiologists, 2 Electrophysiologists, and 14 APPs.
  •  First assist to cardiothoracic surgical procedures
  • Schedule includes one dedicated clinic day per week, with the remainder of the week focused in the OR, supporting a high-volume cardiovascular surgery program.
  • Call responsibilities:
    • Shared 1:3 call rotation with week-long (7-day) coverage blocks
    • inpatient management and surgical coverage, with support from a collaborative team
    • Predictable rotation structure to support work-life balance
