Role Overview
The Executive Medical Director will:
- Lead the strategic direction, growth, and performance of cardiovascular services across the Mid-America Region-including cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, vascular surgery, electrophysiology, imaging, and preventive cardiology.
- Partner in a dyad model to ensure excellence in clinical outcomes, physician engagement, operational performance, and financial stewardship.
- Foster alignment among cardiovascular physicians across multiple campuses (Shawnee Mission, South Overland Park, Lenexa City Center, Ottawa) to build a unified, integrated service line. Advance research, innovation, and education by expanding clinical trials, developing academic and industry partnerships, and strengthening national reputation.
- Promote an exceptional patient experience, uphold AdventHealth’s mission and values, and lead initiatives in quality, accreditation, and process improvement.
- Dedicate approximately 50% of time to leadership and administrative responsibilities while maintaining active clinical practice in a specialty area.

We have busy practice with a comprehensive cardiovascular program inclusive of EP, Complex PCI, Structural Heart, HF and Open-Heart Surgery. Our group consists of 8 Non-Invasives, 4 Interventionalists, 2 Electrophysiologists, 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and 13 APPs. AdventHealth Kansas City is searching for a highly skilled and patient-focused BC/BE neurohospitalist to add to its busy existing group. Our physicians provide a full range of neurology care – specializing in neurologic consultations, electromyography, and Botox for chronic migraine management.
- 1 in 2 call rotation shared with our other hospitalist (2 other neurologists in the group are available to take call from time to time if needed)
- 24hr call (inpatient and cover outpatient clinic call at night)
- Friday 7am – Friday 7am
- EMR – Epic
- 10-15 daily inpatients
- Average of 1-2 evening calls a week that includes outpatient clinic evening call

Our physicians provide a full range of neurology care – specializing in neurologic consultations, electromyography, and Botox for chronic migraine management.
As we add neurologists to our team, fellowship trained physicians are highly encouraged to apply as we are looking to grow subspecialty services within our neurosciences group. Experience with movement disorders and/or headache management is a plus. The ability to read EEGs is required.

Breast Medical Oncologist

Located in suburban Kansas City, AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is searching for a dynamic, energetic, and team-oriented fellowship-trained oncologist with a specialized focus in breast cancer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge, patient centered care to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, while also contributing to general oncology services. We are looking to grow our subspecialty oncology programs in breast, thoracic, GI and GU. Highly qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.
We have six oncologists in our group today and we are continuing to expand, both in specialization and in our new $70 million Cancer Institute located on the Shawnee Mission campus. Our physician team continues to grow around Gyn Oncology, Breast Oncology, Thoracic Oncology, Neuro Oncology, and other surgical oncology specialties. Rotation of call would be shared with the other physicians in the practice, including weekends. New physician would have access to research, clinical trials, tumor boards and a multidisciplinary care team consisting of nurse navigators, dietician, social workers, oncology rehab, palliative medicine, and patient financial navigators.
