AdventHealth Medical Group in Kansas City is offering an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, experienced cardiothoracic surgeon to join our established team at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, a 500+ bed facility. AdventHealth in Kansas City is a leading, faith-based, not-for-profit health system with four hospitals in the greater Kansas City area.

The new CT surgeon will be able to perform a variety of cases including coronary bypass, valvular repair/replacement, catheter-based structural heart procedures and general thoracic cases working alongside a multidisciplinary and growing team of seven general cardiologists, five interventionalists, and two electrophysiologists. The team has a large compliment of cardiovascular APPs, including a CTS PA model facilitating cardiovascular care. ICU care is also enhanced by our dedicated critical care intensivists team.

AdventHealth Medical Group in Kansas City is offering a Program Director opportunity for a dynamic, experienced cardiovascular surgeon to lead our team at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, a 500+ bed facility. The new surgeon will be able to continue to build and develop our CV surgery program and perform a variety of cases including coronary bypass, valvular repair/replacement, and structural heart procedures. Experience or interest in general thoracic surgery is preferred but not required. The new Program Director would have a portion of dedicated administrative time for service line building including responsibilities in quality, outreach, research and education. The new leader would also work alongside a multidisciplinary and growing team of general cardiologists, interventionalists, and electrophysiologists that will total 20 in the next two years.
