Whole Health Institute APP
AdventHealth Whole Health Institute is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in suburban Kansas City who is passionate about whole-person, evidence-based care. The ideal candidate is committed to spending meaningful time with patients, addressing the root contributors to chronic disease, and helping patients achieve lasting health and vitality.
The Whole Health Institute is a cash-based, consultative practice offering extended appointments, comprehensive evaluations, and individualized treatment plans. Providers combine conventional medicine with functional, integrative, lifestyle, culinary, naturopathic, and nutrition-focused approaches to improve long-term health and quality of life.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive, whole-person patient evaluations.
- Manage complex chronic conditions, including metabolic, cardiovascular, hormonal, thyroid, gastrointestinal, autoimmune, inflammatory, and fatigue-related concerns.
- Interpret conventional and advanced laboratory testing.
- Develop individualized plans incorporating nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, supplementation, and evidence-based therapies.
- Use sound clinical judgment, including identifying when referral or additional evaluation is needed.
- Educate patients and support sustainable behavior change.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team.
- Contribute to program development, quality initiatives, innovation, and growth.
- Represent the Institute through community education, presentations, webinars, and outreach.
- Stay current with research and best practices in functional, integrative, lifestyle, nutrition, and obesity medicine.

Qualifications:
- Active Kansas license or eligibility for licensure as an APRN or PA
- Missouri licensure or eligibility strongly preferred for telehealth
- Strong clinical foundation and ability to manage complex patient presentations
- Commitment to patient-centered, lifestyle-focused care
Preferred:
- Certification in Functional, Integrative, Lifestyle, or Obesity Medicine; clinical nutrition; or a comparable evidence-based field
- Five or more years of relevant clinical experience
- Experience interpreting advanced laboratory testing and developing individualized treatment plans
- Expertise in nutrition, physical activity, metabolic health, sleep, stress management, and sustainable behavior change

AdventHealth Kansas City, a leading faith based not for profit health system, is searching for experienced Non-Invasive or Interventional Cardiology APP to provide care at our hospitals and clinics in the Kansas City Metro.
About our Employed Cardiology group:
- Our group consists of 10 Non-Interventional Cardiologists, 5.5 Interventionalists, 2 Electrophysiologists, 4 Vascular Surgeons, 1 Cardiothoracic Surgeon, and 16 APPs.
- Support either our Non-Invasive or Interventional physicians in the hospital and clinic settings.

Cardiothoracic Surgery – Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with First Assist

AdventHealth Kansas City, a leading faith based not for profit health system, is searching for an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery APP to serve as a First Assist in cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgeries, perform endoscopic vein harvesting, round in hospital pre and post-surgery, and follow-up clinic visits at our AdventHealth Shawnee Mission location located in the Kansas City Metro area.
About our Cardiothoracic Surgery Opportunity:
- Cardiothoracic surgeons, 5 interventionalists, 8 Non-Invasive cardiologists, 2 Electrophysiologists, and 14 APPs.
- First assist to cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Schedule includes one dedicated clinic day per week, with the remainder of the week focused in the OR, supporting a high-volume cardiovascular surgery program.
- Call responsibilities:
- Shared 1:3 call rotation with week-long (7-day) coverage blocks
- inpatient management and surgical coverage, with support from a collaborative team
- Predictable rotation structure to support work-life balance

About our Opportunity:
- Patient population is serving women with perinatal mental health issues
- Part time schedule - 0.5 FTE
- Locations: AH Shawnee Mission, South Overland Park and Lenexa City Center
- Our group consists of 2 psychiatrists and three therapists

- Work within a culture of maintaining a whole-person approach to wellness, focusing on mind, body and spirit

- At least 2 years of perinatal mental health experience
- ACLS and BLS obtained through the American Heart Association
- DEA License
